In March, Lucie Melicharová was a guest speaker for The Executive MBA at the University of Connecticut School of Business, in a session on Well-being in the Workplace, where she discussed current trends and the impact of recent global events on employee well-being.
The main points of the discussion were the concept of well-being — its evolution in the workplace and how employee well-being has been affected in a deeply disrupted world. The session addressed both the lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, and what these realities mean for people at work.
Well-being is no longer a peripheral HR topic. It has become central to how organisations think about performance, retention, and their responsibility toward the people who work for them. Leaders who understand this — and act on it — are building more resilient organisations.
Lucie Melicharová waived her seminar fee in favour of a donation to the People in Need Foundation for the SOS Ukraine project.
